Jul Aug 2011

The Jul/Aug 2011 issue of YTE follows up on the very popular article by Dr Mircea Dologa (‘After the Flood’ - Mar/Apr 2011 YTE), in which he explored the potential impact on cotton prices after Queensland’s devastating floods. In ‘After the Flood Part II’  we assess the outcomes for Queensland cotton farmers and discuss how both farmers and traders can use technical analysis to gain a view on where the market is heading, and trade futures contracts accordingly.

Futures remain a hot topic and in this issue YTE’s resident futures and CFD expert Kel Butcher plays them off against each other ‘Futures versus CFDs’. Kel provides insights as to which provides better opportunities for day traders. Another YTE favourite, Dawn Bolton-Smith, provides some hard-to-find charts and gives a rare and insightful look into highly topical uranium, with some stock suggestions and analysis.

Our cover story this issue comes from ‘Currency Corner’ and YTE’s new expert, Bradley Gilbert, who looks at global events affecting currency pairs and the trading opportunities the continuing volatility presents.

Ben Power speaks with market wizard, Mark Minervini, one of Wall Street’s most remarkable success stories and a great example of how trading provides opportunities for financial freedom, no matter what your background.
