Gary Norden shares real-life trading stories: Niall – ‘The Kid in the Candy Shop. Trading floors are full of colourful characters – Niall was a great example. Niall was a successful, experienced trader of UK Government Bonds (Gilts) and he worked, as I did at that time, for a large UK investment bank. He knew more jokes than anybody I have ever met and he could deliver the jokes as well as any professional comedian could; he was a great guy to be around. While some traders have an air of superiority and believe they are God’s gift to the trading world, Niall was as down to earth as you can get and didn’t take himself or the business too seriously...
